In a desperate bid to lose weight, Catherine decided her only option was to trawl the internet for a quick fix solution. Who knows what she expected to find, perhaps she didn’t even know herself.

“I felt totally out of control. My last resort was the internet, I wanted a miracle fix that would stop me eating and lose weight within 24 hours. Of course common sense prevailed and I knew that no such solution would be forthcoming. However lo and behold I found the online weight loss website and thought I would have to give it a go since really all I had to lose was ‘fat’.”

There was no escaping her scepticism when she came across the website but Catherine took a chance on the authenticity of the website. Less than 10 months later and she is 3 stone 4 lbs lighter. Now she is in the best shape of her life and this is obvious for all to see. She has reduced her dress size from a size 18 to a ravishing size 12. Not only has Catherine lost weight but she has reduced her cholesterol from a previous high reading of 7.5 to 5.

You are never too old to take up a sport! As her kids looked on in envy Mammy jumped up and down on her mini trampoline. To them it was a fun game but for Catherine this was more about improving her health and weight loss than fooling around.

“I bounced three times per week, gradually I built up to half an hour at a time. Then I began walking, now I walk 5km three times a week and sometimes I do a 10km cycle. It really has made a big difference.”

'Never say never', over the past year this has become a resounding motto for Catherine.

“There was a time last year when I thought, this is it! I will always be fat, I will never be able to wear pretty clothes, I am just a fat person and there is nothing that can be done.”

“When people I hardly know comment on my weight loss and congratulate me I feel fantastic, it really does boost my ego. What makes me so proud of myself is breaking all my bad food habits.”
