George’s continuous eating of takeaways had resulted in him having a BMI of 32 which was greatly affecting his blood sugars. After his need for insulin increased drastically he knew he was getting too heavy and joined up to our online dieting site. At the age of 67 and in just under a year later he has managed to lose 2 stone 12lbs with a mixture of our diabetes, high fibre and lower sugar plan.
Here is George’s story…
How much weight have you lost?
2 stone 12 lbs – my starting weight was 15 stone 6lbs and I am now 12 stone 8lbs. I have also managed to lose 4 inches.
What part has exercise played in helping you to lose weight? I exercise every other day - 15 minutes on the treadmill and 15 minutes on the exercise bike.
Was your weight causing you any problems?
My weight was causing my intake of insulin for diabetes to rise drastically. I was also feeling less confident than normal.
What difference has losing weight made to you?
My insulin intake has dropped to almost zero and my confidence has returned.
What did you think of our online dieting service?

Tell us about your diet before you joined us, and how has your diet changed as a result?
I used to eat out at restaurants regularly and have takeaway meals delivered. Since starting this diet I have been careful to choose healthy options from menus and have not had a takeaway since. I do not snack and I follow the diet plan for each day.
How have your family and friends reacted to your weight loss?
My wife and family are very supportive and have encouraged me to continue dieting.
